General Physical Description:
- Appearance: Granular or coarse powder.
- Colour: Typically golden brown to dark tan. A very dark or “burnt” brown Colour may indicate overheating during the drying process, which can reduce protein digestibility.
- Texture: Free-flowing and non-clumping. It should not be sticky or oily to the touch.
- Odour: Characteristic cereal-like or “fermented” aroma. It must be free from any charred, burnt, or rancid smells.
- Purity: 100% rice-based by-product, free from urea, husk, or any chemical adulterants.
