General Physical Description:
- Appearance: Exceptionally wrinkled and shrivelled pods. The skin is thin and easily crushed.
- Colour: Deep, dark, oily red (often described as “chocolate red”).
- Length: * Kaddi: 12–15 cm (slender).
- Dabbi: 8–10 cm (plump/bulky).
- Stem Details:
- With Stem: Natural green-to-brown stalk attached.
- Stemless: Stalk removed manually (preferred for high-end Colour extraction).
- Flavour/Aroma: Very mild heat with a sweet, slightly smoky, and rich aroma.
